Marian Northouse

Marian Northouse, age 88, of Lancaster, died on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on February 9, 1922, in Manchester, England, the daughter of Robert and Alice (Watson) Atkins. On August 1, 1 945, Marian was united in marriage to Norman Northouse in Manchester, England, and was married for more than fifty-two years. She was an avid reader, loved going to the casinos and was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Lee) Borah, Cape Girardeau, MO; her grandchildren: Brett (Deborah) McDonald, Racine; Angela McDonald, Beach Park, IL; Michael (Laura) Budd, Vancouver, WA; three great-grandchildren: Jessica and Kristofer McDonald and Emily Budd.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, daughters, Judith A. Hawkins and Mary Lou Budd, and her son-in-law, Terry Budd.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster assisted the family.
