Margaret M. Hess

Margaret M. Hess, age 93, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Lancaster Care Center. She was born January 23, 1919 the daughter of Chris and Lena (Mumm) Breuer. Margaret graduated from Cassville High School. She married Arthur C. Hess Together they farmed and raised their loving family in Glen Haven Township. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, and Altar Society in Glen Haven. Margaret was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed quilting. Upon returning from a mission trip to Mississippi with her husband Arthur, she learned to make southern fried chicken, that her family dearly enjoyed . Margarets faith and devotion was very important to her. Her Christian way of life, was an inspiration for her family.

Surviving are her children; Connie (Douglas) Kirschbaum; Marcia (Pete) Hampton; Brenda (Robert) Seemuth; Vicky (Richard) Braun; Terry (Mary) Hess; Cindy (Greg) Kautman; Tim (Janet) Hess; Tom (Janice) Hess; Shelly (Gaston) Kingue; Tina (Michael) Evetts; 27 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sisters in law, Betty Breuer and Mildred Dietrich, and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her sister Anne (Vogt) Cadwell and her brother Francis Breuer.

Funeral services were held on Saturday September 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville, with Fr. John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in the Gockel Cemetery, rural Glen Haven. Friends called on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services, at the church, where an 8:30 a.m. parish rosary will be held. The Martin Funeral Home of Cassville is assisting the family.
