Margaret M. Heileman

CASSVILLE - Margaret M. Heileman, age 96, of Chicago, IL passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Heritage Woods, Belvidere, IL with family by her side. Marge was born on September 13, 1921, in Cassville, WI, the daughter of Albert and Louise (Reding) Heileman. She and her sister, Inez, worked in a munitions factory near Savannah, IL during World War II in support of the war effort. Following World War II, she and Inez moved to Chicago. They lived and worked there for many years. In 1964 their sister, Mary, joined them and the three lived together until Inez’s death in 1996. Marge and Mary continued to live in Chicago until the fall of 2014 when they moved to Heritage Woods in Belvidere, IL. Marge was an avid Cubs fan. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening almost as much as she enjoyed the taste of home grown tomatoes and corn on the cob. Visitors were greeted with a friendly welcome and genuine show of hospitality. Marge’s sweet smile and warm humor will be missed by all.

Marge leaves behind her sisters: Rosemary Uthe and Mary Heileman and brother Bernard (Anita) Heileman. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Marge was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Zenz and Inez Heileman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville, WI with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville, WI. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville is serving the family.
