Marcella Adrian

Marcella M. Adrian, age 94, of Cassville, WI, died Friday, January 13, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque.

Marcella was born on October 12, 1917, in Cassville, a daughter of Oscar & Katherine (Schmeltz) Shaben.

She married Vincent Adrian on November 28, 1940, at St. Charles Church in Cassville.

Marcella enjoyed playing cards, reading, sewing, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marcella is survived by her son, Mark (Ruth) Adrian; a daughter, Marcia Wiest; seven grandchildren, Gina (Andy) Kirschbaum, Melissa (Jeff) Allen, Chad Adrian, Amy (Tim) Adams, Stacy (Don) Packard, Todd (Nichole) Wiest, and Brent Wiest; twelve great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; her parents; and two brothers, Clifford and Durward Bud Shaben.

Special thanks to Marcellas granddaughter, Amy, who took exceptional care of her.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:30 am on Monday, January 16, 2012, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville, with Fr. John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery in Cassville. Visitation was from 10:00 am to 11:30 am Monday at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Cassville is assisting the family.
