Lucille M. Dean, age 82, of Potosi, died on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on January 4, 1926, in Balltown, IA, the daughter of Clarence and Elizabeth (Pothoff) Bleile. Lucille attended school at St. Francis School in Balltown, IA. On November 6, 1945, she married Herbert Dean. Together they farmed in Potosi until the time of Herberts death on March 13, 1975.
Lucille is survived by a daughter, Sandy Krepfle (Steve Allsman), West Chester, PA; one grandson, Bryan Krepfle; two sisters: Anna (Leonard) Schmidt, Dubuque, IA; Irene Streif, Lancaster; one brother, Elmer (Mary) Bleile, Dubuque, IA; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Lucille was preceded in death by two brothers: Ervin Bleile and Donald Bleile.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson with Reverend Richard Leffler officiating. Burial was held in St. Andrew Cemetery, Tennyson. Family and friends were welcomed from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the Martin Funeral Home in Potosi with a Rosary service at 4:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Lucille M. Dean memorial fund has been established.
