She was born on July 2, 1932 in the Lancaster area. She grew up attending a number different country schools and graduated from the Lancaster High School in 1950. After graduation she worked at the Burgess Battery factory in Platteville. In September of 1951 she met Robert VanNatta and they were later married on April 5th, 1953. They first lived in the Potosi area on the family farm and started their family before moving to Lancaster. In 1961 they moved back to the family farm near Potosi to live and farm as their family grew. Lorraine loved flower gardening and her pets, especially her Black Lab Buddy whom she found comfort in these past few years. She enjoyed raising ducks, geese, chickens and even some sheep over the years. She loved the Lord and attended the First Baptist Church in Lancaster from childhood and later became a member there. She served the Lord humbly, helping out wherever needed. She spent time reading her Bible each night and raising her children to know and love the Lord. Lorraine and Robert were married 63 years. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends, but her memory will be held close to our hearts.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Community Church, 9175 Old Potosi Rd, Lancaster, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 29th.
