Lois A. Meyer

Lois A. Meyer, age 75, of Lancaster, formerly of Prairie du Chien, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at her home with her loving husband by her side. She was born on May 5, 1947, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Alberta (Duve) Hessling. Lois graduated from West Grant High School in 1965. She was employed at 3M in Prairie du Chien. On April 27, 1972, Lois was united in marriage to Bob Meyer at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Mt. Hope. After their marriage, the couple worked together at Bob’s Towing & Repair in Prairie du Chien, until their retirement in 2012. Lois and Bob enjoyed retirement and moved to Lancaster in 2018. Lois enjoyed watching sports, fishing and dearly loved her dogs.

Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Bob Meyer; a brother, Richard (Kathy) Hessling; a niece, Robin (Mike) Koeller; a nephew, Tim Haas; other relatives and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Mary Lewis, Debbie and Shirley Hessling.

In keeping with Lois’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with her care.
