Lila L. Trickle

POTOSI – Lila L. Trickle, age 76, of Potosi, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. She was born on March 30, 1941, in Potosi, the daughter of Lawrence and Louisa (Wackershauser) Pickel. On May 24, 1958, Lila married Raymond Trickle at Davies Memorial United Church of Christ in Potosi. After their marriage, they raised two daughters and one son. Once her children were grown, Lila was employed at Loudspeaker Components, LLC for many years. She also worked for Homeward Bound, caring for her nephew, Joe. Lila enjoyed going to garage sales, camping, fishing, playing cards, Yahtzee, and dominos as well as decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. She also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and Wisconsin Badgers. Lila was an amazing cook and dearly loved spending time with her family, her grandson and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Raymond; their children: Denice (Tim) Kruser; Laurie (Jeremy Kedley) Maahs; Jeffrey Trickle; one grandson, Christopher (Ashlee) Maahs; three great-grandchildren: Xavier, Casady, and Raya; her siblings: Larry "Honkie" (Dina) Pickel; Jerry (Cheri) Pickel; Selma Marcue; close family friend, Dakota Marshall; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Lila was preceded in death by her siblings: Delbert, Harold, Ernie, and Bernell Pickel, Evelyn King, Stella Hahn, Linda Reifsteck, Kay Wedig, Goldie Eggers and Elvera Merrit.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Davies Memorial United Church of Christ in Potosi with Pastor Maggie Lewis officiating. Burial will be in British Hollow Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends may call on Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Davies Memorial United Church of Christ and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi is entrusted with her care.
