LeRoy Williams

LeRoy J. "Roy" Williams, age 86 of Cassville, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster. He was born January 4, 1929 in Viroqua, the son of John and Edna (Wolf) Williams. Roy attended Buckwheat Ridge School in Ellenboro Township. On June 6, 1950 Roy was united into marriage to Leola M. "Lee" Blackbourn. He was part of the construction crew that built Dairyland Power Plant in Cassville, and also farmed. Roy began hauling for Schumacher Trucking, and with Lee's help operated Williams Wayside in Ellenboro. They moved to Hightstown, New Jersey where Roy continued trucking and was later employed with Coca-Cola. After retiring, Roy and Lee moved back to Cassville.

Surviving is his loving wife of sixty five years Lee, their daughters; Donna (Dave) Hutchinson, and Linda (George) Howay; Grandchildren; Barbara and Daniel (Alison) Hutchinson, Jennifer (Brian) Andre, Michele (Alan) Page, Marianne (Joe) Armstrong, Brienna and Christian Howay; Twelve Great grandchildren, Two brothers; Donald (Bernadette) and Kenneth (Delores "De De") Williams, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a brother Carson (Helen) Williams, sister, Delilah "Sis" Williams, two sister in laws, Virginia Williams and Marilyn (Charles) Blietz, and a nephew Jack Williams

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial was in Hurricane Cemetery, Waterloo Township. Family and friends called on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
