Lennice M. Roesch

Lennice M. Roesch, age 96 of Lancaster, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster. She was born January 28, 1921 in Ellenboro Township, the daughter of John and Matilda (Stitzer) Davies. She graduated from Lancaster High School. Prior to her marriage, Lennice was employed at the REA in Lancaster. On May 26, 1942, she was united into marriage to Robert C. "Bob" Roesch at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Together they farmed on the Roesch Family Farm in Waterloo Township, until their retirement. She was a member of the West Grant Saddle Club. Lennice's time was spent caring for her family, and tending to her large gardens. She enjoyed baking and cooking. Lennice dearly loved her family and keeping up with their activities.
Surviving are two daughters; Judy Taylor, and Janis (Chuck) Yoose; four sons, Jack (Linda), Gary (Gale). Dennis (Jane), and Alan Roesch, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob, a son in law, Richard Taylor, 5 brothers, 5 sisters, and a great granddaughter, Kaylee Kleinfeldt.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory, 1234 South Madison Street, Lancaster, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster. Family and friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
