Lee Ann Hill

Lee Ann Hill, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Park Place Assisted Living in Platteville. She was born October 1, 1940 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Vernon and Fern (Ostvig) Hilgoe. Lee Ann graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, IL, and furthered her education by taking music courses at the Cosmopolitan School of Music in Chicago. She then joined a music chorale and traveled the United States. Lee Ann was united in marriage to Donald Pagni in April 28, 1962, and three children were born to this union. Lee Ann moved to Cobb, WI, in 1978, and ran the Don-Lee Arts and Crafts store before moving her shop to Dodgeville. She often participated in craft fairs. After closing Craft World, she went on to work in admissions at Upland Hills Hospital in Dodgeville. In 1995, she moved to Arizona and married Rev. James Hill. Lee Ann enjoyed music and crafts, especially crocheting. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Peace in Platteville. At previous churches, she played the church organ and sang in the choir.

She is survived by three children: Michael (Lynette) Pagni, Lisa (Tom) Nicolai, and Daniel (Tara) Pagni; seven grandchildren: Angelynn, Michael (Britney), Brandon, and Jonathan Pagni; Jacob (Amber) Iverson; Mabrie and Marcus Pagni; two great-grandchildren: Damon and Arlo; and one on the way; two sisters: Kay Hildebrand and Jan (Hermann) Greinig; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lee Ann was preceded in death by Donald Pagni on October 24, 2016, and her beloved dog, Lily.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at First English Lutheran Church in Platteville with Rev. Michael Short officiating. Friends and family may call Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville with special music from Tom Nicolai, Sydney Busch, and Jacob Iverson after 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville is entrusted with her services.
