Lawrence "Jack" Larry J. Reynolds, age 72, of Potosi, died on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at his home in Potosi. He was born on May 28, 1938, in Potosi, the son of Lawrence Peter and Lucille M. (Hauk) Reynolds. Jack graduated from Cassville High School. On February 7, 1959, he was united in marriage to Linda Ann McCann at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Potosi. Jack was employed with the Dubuque Packing Company for many years. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. Jack enjoyed playing cards and was always in search of the perfect cribbage hand. He also liked fishing, playing the guitar, woodworking, hunting from his car and "saling" (a.k.a. going to garage sales).
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a grandson, Jermey Reynolds; a nephew, Terry Reynolds; and his brother, Bob Reynolds.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Reynolds, Potosi; his children: Tim Reynolds, Potosi; Kim (Tim) Glassmaker, Bloomington; Pete (Dawn) Reynolds and Kurt (Connie) Reynolds all of Potosi; Pat (Lisa) Reynolds, Cassville; Dr. Mary Reynolds and Chrissy Swartout, Portland, OR; Peggy (Brett) Stoffel, Dubuque, IA; LuAnne (Ken) Johll, and Todd (Jessica) Reynolds, all of Cassville; Sean (Jennifer) Reynolds, Phoenix, AZ; 28 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brothers and sister: Bill (Virginia) Reynolds, Dubuque, IA; Jim (Sharon) Reynolds, Cassville; Joe (Melanie) Reynolds, Potosi; Jerry (Theresa) Reynolds, Cassville; Helen (Ron) Udelhofen, and Ronnie (Patti) Reynolds, all of Potosi; a sister-in-law, June (Don) Grass, Potosi; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 16, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father Richard Leffler officiating. Burial was in St. Thomas Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends called on Friday, October 15, 2010, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., where a 3:30 p.m. Divine Mercy Chaplet will be held. Family and friends also called on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Cassville is assisting the family.
