Laurie A. Maahs

POTOSI – Laurie A. Maahs, age 62, of Potosi, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.  She was born on May 17, 1961, the daughter of Raymond and Lila (Pickel) Trickle.  Laurie graduated from Potosi High School in 1979.  She was employed at Advance Transformer, Skyline for 27 years, Dubuque Property Management, and most recently, Sparkling Clean.  In 1989, Laurie was united in marriage to Roger K. Maahs.  He preceded her in death on March 26, 2014.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, camping, and being on the river.  She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Chris (Ashlee) Maahs; grandchildren: Xavier, Casady, Raya, and Blake; a sister, Denice (Tim) Kruser; a brother, Jeffrey Trickle; a close family friend, Dakota Marshall. 

Laurie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roger.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi.  Burial will be in British Hollow Cemetery, Potosi Township. Family and friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
