 Larry E. Beagle ONeil, age 60, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer on Friday, July 19, 2013, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. He was born on November 26, 1952, in Sparta, the son of Eugene Fritz and Marlene (Peterson) ONeil. Larry graduated from Lancaster High School in 1970. On May 7, 1983, he was united in marriage to Lori Axtell at the Bethlehem E&R Church in Lancaster. Larry has been employed with Kane Roofing & Siding for over forty years. He enjoyed bowling and was the second person in Lancaster history to score a 300 game at Fireball Lanes. Larry also enjoyed playing cards, woodworking, and built birdhouses, furniture and anything requested by his family. He dearly loved his family and his dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Lori; children: Kelly (David) Behrens; Logan (Nathalie Schattner) ONeil; Brittany (Michael Wallace) ONeil; four grandchildren: Matthew, Marrissa, Taylor, and Baylie; his father, Eugene Fritz ONeil; his father and mother-in-law, Bill (Barb) Axtell; brothers: Steve (Roxanne); Pat (Paula) ONeil; sisters: Pam (Jerry) Heins; Donna (Mike Haberlie) ONeil; Jen (Scott) Simonis; sister-in-law, Brenda Taylor and her family Jason Taylor, Michael Taylor and his son, Bryce; and Nicole (Chad) Yaun and their children, Payton and Mason; a brother-in-law, Bart Axtell; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethlehem E&R Church in Lancaster with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date. Family and friends called on Monday, July 22, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
