Larry Laverne Caley, 63, of Bloomington passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at home.
He was born March 5, 1950 the son of Lawrence (Jack) and Viola (Kress) Caley. He farmed most of his life. He loved his Honda motorcycles and his horses: Silver, Susie, Lightning, Stardust, Lady, and currently Lightning Fire.
He is survived by his mother Viola Caley, Bloomington; three sisters, Linda (Joe) Orton, Dickeyville, Janice (Ken) Kipper, Lancaster and Veda (Bill) Schmitt, Platteville; step nephews, Kelvin (Cathy) Orton, Sun Paririe, Derek Orton, Dubuque; nieces and nephews, Susan (Kevin) Knief, Bellevue, IA, Sharon (Jason) Pennekamp, Shelly (Ryan Woodward) Kipper, Nathan Schmitt, all of Platteville, and Natalie Schmitt, Neenah; his step great nephews, Joseph and William Orton, Sun Prairie, and Mitchell Knief, Iowa City; great nieces and nephews, Anthony Schiffman, Platteville, Lucas and Colton Knief, Bellevue, IA, Emma and Isabel Pennekamp, and Owen Woodward, all of Platteville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Caley, and a great nephew, Tim Schiffman.
A Funeral Service were held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Schwartz Funeral Home, Lancaster, with Rev. Mark Dieter officiating. Burial was in Dodge Cemetery, Beetown. Friends called from 9 am until the start of the service Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, A Larry L Caley memorial has been established.
