Kathleen Pennekamp

Kathleen S. Pennekamp, age 71, of Potosi, died Thursday, December 12, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family. Kathleen was born on July 11, 1942 in Ellenboro, a daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Hall) Marcue. Kathleen married Gerald L. Pennekamp on August 8, 1961 in Potosi.

Kathleen enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, quilting, riding her golf cart, and spending time on the lake up north.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Gerald; three sons, Jeffrey (Nancy), Larry (Karen), and Greg; five grandchildren, Jerry Pennekamp, Nicole Brehm, Leah Pennekamp, Joel Pennekamp, and Jamie Pennekamp; two great-grandchildren, Garrett Brehm and Brittney Brehm; a sister, Janet Millard; a brother, Francis Marcue; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives & friends.

She was preceded in death her parents; a brother, Cletus Marcue; and a granddaughter, Katie Pennekamp.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2013, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson, with Fr. Richard Leffler officiating. Burial was in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends called from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Martin Funeral Home in Potosi, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
