Karen S. Rottiger

LANCASTER – Karen S. Rottiger, age 63, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster. She was born April 21, 1954, in Platteville, the daughter of Carlton and Jo Ann Rottiger. At the age of eleven months, Karen became a resident of Central Wisconsin Center in Madison. In 1994 she moved to Lancaster Group Home and later to Cornerstone Foundation. In 2006, Karen relocated to Orchard Manor Nursing Home, where she has lived since. She loved music and watching Old Westerns. Karen spent most of her time people watching. Even though she was non-verbal, Karen was very able to make her needs met. She always had a smile on her face and will be dearly missed by the residents and staff at Orchard Manor.
Survivors include her loving friend and guardian, Juanita Caley, Lancaster, and her loving family at Orchard Manor Nursing Home.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Orchard Manor Nursing Home Chapel in Lancaster with Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Private burial will be in Dodge Cemetery, Beetown Township. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time of services at Orchard Manor Nursing Home Chapel. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with her care.
