Julie A. Budworth

December 7, 1957 — July 2, 2021

Julie A. Budworth, age 63, of Lancaster passed away peacefully July 2, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. She was born December 7, 1957, the daughter of Maurice and Charlotte (Hollenberger) Landon. Julie graduated from Lancaster High School. On July 5, 1975, she was united in marriage to Joseph E. "Joe" Budworth at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington. Together they farmed in Little Grant Township and later in North Lancaster Township, selling the farm in 2016. Julie has been employed at Zippy's Brass Rail since 1992, serving the community and all the regulars. She inherited the family trait of never treating anyone as a stranger. She had an infectious smile that made everyone she encountered feel like a lifelong friend. If anyone ever needed an extra hand, she was just a phone call away. There was never a task too big or too challenging for her to help with. She was an alumni of the Merry Mixers 4-H club and a Grant County Fair Superintendent for many years. Most of all, Julie loved spending time with her family and many friends.
Surviving is her loving husband, Joe; their daughters: Jenny (Pat) Oyen, Jeanna (Nate) Haas, Jody (Tom) Vesperman, and Jaclyn (Nicolas) Witzig; 13 grandchildren; brothers: Paul (Maggie), Dave (Colleen), Dennis (Bernie Wong) Landon; her father in law, John Budworth; her in laws: Dave (Cheryl), Kathy (Carson) Clark, Tom (Genevieve Foster), Al (Marie), Lewey (Lori), Carol (Ron) Miles, and Paul (Leah Lemieux) Budworth; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Maurice and Charlotte, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Calvin Haas; nephew, Brian Budworth; and her mother-in-law, Marcella Budworth.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Family and friends may call on Wednesday July 7, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers a Julie A. Budworth Memorial Fund has been established. We are thankful for her team of medical professionals that cared for her over the last few months.
