Julia A. Judy Johnson, age 90, of Bagley, was called Home on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at her residence. She was born on June 16, 1922, in Fountain City, WI, the daughter of Frank C. and Martha (Glowski) Kamrowski. On October 30, 1941, Julia was united in marriage to Merlin C. Johnson in Winona, MN. After their marriage, she was employed as a factory worker in Onalaska and later cared for the elderly in various capacities. Julia was very loyal and fiercely independent. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children: Barbara McSparin, Meadowview, VA; Duane (Susie) Johnson, West Des Moines, IA; five grandchildren: Monique (Terry) Stam, Wendy (Matthew) Townsend, Eric (Erin) Johnson, Julie Johnson, and Amanda Johnson; eighteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; her only surviving sibling out of fifteen, Joe (Shirley) Kamrowski, Winona, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband on November 20, 1985; and her brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington with Jim Gregar officiating. Burial was on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in Bagley Cemetery, Bagley. Family and friends called on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
