John "Chip" Lynn

John “Chip” Lynn, age 76, of Potosi, Wisconsin, passed away on November 1, 2022, at Edenbrook Nursing Home of Platteville. He was born June 24, 1946, to Eugene and LaVerne (Butney) Lynn. Since John was a teenager, he worked at his family hardware store, which eventually grew into E.H. Lynn Industries Inc. He was president and served in sales, retiring in 2021. On September 8, 1967, he was united in marriage to Rita (Feddercke) Lynn at St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Broadview, Illinois. He and his wife Rita shared a deep faith, traveling to different churches around the area. John enjoyed the seasons in Potosi, and all the beauty that it showed. He had a contagious laugh and smile that everyone will remember him for. John loved his family dearly and looked forward to every holiday that he got to spend with them.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Rita; their children: John Lynn, Lisa (Douglas) Breitsprecker; grandchildren: Emily (Val) Harlynn, Wesley (Maleesha McAdoo) Breitsprecker, Edwin (Billy Clauer-Potter) Breitsprecker, and Andrew (Allison Kirkpatrick) Breitsprecker; great-grandchildren: August Josiah “AJ”, DJ, Lilly, Greyson, and Bennett; siblings: Nancy Dambra, Gregory Lynn, Jim (Randy) Lynn, Laurie (Phill) Porpora; in-laws, Linda (Jim) Melehan, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, LaVerne and Gene Lynn; mother and father in-law, Rita and Wilbur Feddercke, and brother-in-law, Jerry Dambra.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Tennyson at 11:00 a.m. with Father Richard Leffler officiating. Friends and family may call Friday, November 4, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes & Crematory in Potosi is assisting the family.
