Joan M. Kirschbaum

Joan M. Kirschbaum, age 81, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born November 8, 1936 Potosi, WI, the daughter of John and Mabel (Sedbrook) Flesch. On May 2, 1953, Joan married Bernard Kirschbaum in Potosi. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, baking, shopping, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her husband, Bernard; four children: Camille Kirschbaum, Bernie (Mary), Lawrence (Lisa), and Kenneth (Martina) Kirschbaum; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Connie Fritz; sisters-in-law: Lenice Flesch and Donna Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Gus and Lillian Kirschbaum; siblings: Doris (Harold) Nachtman, Donald (Florence) Flesch, and John Flesch; brothers-in-law, Eldon Fritz and Donald Williams; and a sister-in-law, Dorene (Bernie) Lechnir.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday July 9, 2018 at the Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster with Fr. William Vernon officiating. Burial will be in the St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends and family may call on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster, where an 8:45 a.m. Rosary will be prayed. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Joan M. Kirschbaum Memorial Fund has been established. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with her services.
