Jeannine D. Reynolds, age 75, of Lancaster , passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 , at Grant Regional Hospital in Lancaster . She was born on June 21, 1937 , in Platteville, the daughter of William and Maxine (Reed) Potter. On September 25, 1954 , Jeannine was united in marriage to Marshall O. Reynolds, Sr. at the Lancaster United Methodist Church .
In 1984, Jeannine and Marshall opened Reynolds Electric, which is still operated by their family. She was a member of the Beetown and Lancaster United Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors of Beetown. Jeannine enjoyed Bible study, traveling, reading, crocheting, and watching movies. She was very devoted to her family and crocheted many blankets for them.
Survivors include her children: Marsha Reynolds; Kathy (Bill) Breuer; Bill (Denise Johanning) Reynolds; Jay (Joanne) Reynolds; Steve Reynolds; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Sharon (Duke) Geng; Karen (Robert) Shawley; brothers: Mike (Terri); Tim (Lori); Dan (Mary); David (Bertha) Irish; and a brother-in-law, Earl Thomas.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Marshall, Jeannine was preceded in death by her step-father, Glen Irish; a grandson, Caleb Breuer; her sisters: Judy Thomas and Kay (Robert) Godlewski.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 , at 10:30 a.m. at the Lancaster United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara Cook officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery , Lancaster . Family and friends called on Friday, December 14, 2012 , from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lancaster United Methodist Church and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Jeannine D. Reynolds memorial fund has been established. Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster is assisting the family.
