Jeanette M. Reiser, age 92, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Lancaster. Jeanette was born December 15, 1922, the daughter of Matt and Anna (Hochhausen) Rauch in Glen Haven. She attended St. Mary's School in Glen Haven. On November 18, 1941, she married Norbert Reiser. Together they farmed until 1984 when they moved to Bloomington. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1998. Jeanette was a devoted member of Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington and its Altar Society, St. Jane Francis Study Club and Catholic Daughters. Jeanette enjoyed spending many hours quilting, playing cards and watching the Green Bay Packer and University of Wisconsin Badgers.
Jeanette is survived by her daughters: Virginia Errthum, Boscobel; Rose (Ted) Amman, Cross Plains; her son: Jim Reiser (Lyle Austin), Clay City, KY; 10 grandchildren: Larry (Susan Prosser), Alan, Eric (Janel), Art (Tamra), Mike (Jackie) and Sara Errthum; Matt (Adrienne), Mike (Amy), John (Megan) Amman and Teresa (Jay) Reilly; 12 great-grandchildren; her brothers: Gerald and Ed (Kay) Rauch; sisters-in-law: Virginia, Helen, Arlene and Margaret Rauch; many nieces and nephews.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Menne and brothers: Vincent, James, Francis, Richard, Edmund and Joseph Rauch.
Services were heldon Monday, December 7, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington at 11:30 a.m. with Reverend John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington. Family and friends called on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers and plants, the family asks that you make a donation to the St. Mary's School in Bloomington or West Grant Rescue Squad.Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
