Jean M. Dressler

December 1, 1952 — August 24, 2017

Jean Dressler, age 64 of Lancaster, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017. She was born to Kathryn (“Kate”) Trankle and the late Wilton (“Pete”) Spurley on December 1st, 1952.

Family was Jean’s passion and delight. She was a devoted wife to her husband Jim, to whom she was married for 46 years. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her six grandkids and loved outings with her four children. Jean was an adamant reader, gardener, and caretaker of the family farm. Jean worked at Piggly Wiggly’s deli counter for roughly fifteen years, where she got to know many of Lancaster’s locals.

After a brief but intense fight with pancreatic cancer, Jean passed away surrounded by loved ones on the farm that she so thoroughly enjoyed.

Jean is survived by husband, James Dressler, daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Wayne Nelson, Denise and Jeremy Beech and Jessica and Nicholas Miller, son and daughter-in-law Todd and Melissa Dressler and six grandchildren, Spurley brothers: Bill, Denny, Mike, Tom, Ron, Jerry and sister Chris Seitz. She is preceded in death by father Pete Spurley and members of the Dressler family.
