Jason B. Landon, age 37, of Beetown, passed away Jan. 4, 2012. He was born February 27, 1974 in Lancaster, the son of Larry and June (Arms) Landon. Jason graduated from Lancaster High School in 1993. He attended Southwest Technical College in Fennimore enrolled in the Ag Mechanics course. Together with his twin brother Jeremy, they owned and operated L B Fencing. Jason also operated a logging and dozing business with his brother Josh. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Jason felt his work was his hobby, and always walked through life with a smile.
Surviving are his beloved daughters; Amber Landon and Rebecca Giesen. The love of his life, Rachel Hines and her son Tyler; his parents, Larry and June Landon; his twin Jeremy (fiance Jody Laufenberg); brothers, Jamie (Andrea) and Joshua (Jody Schweitzer) Landon; grandmother Wilma Landon, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, Rachels parents and family, and his former wife, Misty and her family.
He was preceded by his grandparents; Byron Landon, Eldon and Lois Arms; cousin, Tyler Bausch; uncle, Donald Arms and aunts, Judy (Bill) Haberkorn and Winifred Ene Landon.
Funeral services were held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Lancaster United Methodist Church with Rev. Barbara Cook officiating. Burial was in the Beetown Cemetery. Friends called on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at the church and on Monday from 9:30 am until time of services. In lieu of plants and flowers a Jason B. Landon Memorial Fund has been established. The Martin Funeral Home in Lancaster is assisting the family.
