Janice J. Miller, age 82, of Bagley, died on Friday, September 4, 2009, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien. She was born on June 1, 1927, in Cassville, the daughter of Andrew and Elenora (Brinkman) Kirschbaum. She married George Jr Miller on June 11, 1945, at St. Johns Catholic Church in Patch Grove. Janice was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and farmed with her husband. Later they owned and operated the Dew Drop Inn for seventeen years. In 1990 they retired and moved to Bagley.
Survivors include her husband, Jr Miller, Bagley; four daughters: Georgia (Bruce) Rieck, Prairie du Chien; Brenda (Gene) Loding, Ashland; Susan Ruhr, Prairie du Chien; Stephanie (Terry) Buffington, Bagley; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis (Kenny) Tichenor, Prairie du Chien; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl (Robert) Haberichter.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington at 10:30 a.m. with Father Bart Timmerman officiating. Burial was in Bagley Cemetery, Bagley. Friends called on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington and from 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday until time of services at the funeral home.
