Jane K. Kruser

Jane K. Kruser, age 72, of Potosi, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at ManorCare in Dubuque, IA. She was born on August 9, 1941, in Racine, the daughter of Benjamin and Beulah (Lueke) Hader. Jane graduated from Park High School in 1959. She then worked at Racine Steel Casting. On April 15, 1967, Jane was united in marriage to Mert Kruser. In 1969, they moved to Potosi. Jane raised her family and was employed as a cashier at IOCO Speede Shoppe from 1989 until her retirement in 2004. Jane enjoyed her time at Bagley, fishing, collecting jewelry and stained glass lamps. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her loving husband, Mert Kruser; their children: Kathy (Vaughn) White; Debbie (Tim) Wagner; Julie (Joe) Kennicker; six grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Alyssa White; Trevor and Rachel Wagner; Paige and Lydia Kennicker; other relatives and many friends, including Bagley friends.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by a sister, Donna (Bill) Heusdens, and a nephew, Marc Heusdens.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 31, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson with Father Leffler officiating. Burial was in St. Andrew Cemetery, Tennyson. Family and friends called on Sunday, March 30, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Potosi is assisting the family.
