James Breese, III

James H. "Butch" Breese, III, age 66, of Madison formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at his home. He was born on September 25, 1949, in Lancaster, the son of James H. and Ruth M. (Fuller) Breese, II. Butch graduated from Lancaster High School in 1968. He entered the United States Army in 1969 and served as a Green Beret during Vietnam. Upon his honorable discharge in 1971, Butch moved to Madison where he worked as a CNA. He attended MATC and earned his nursing degree. Butch worked at Meriter as a Psych nurse until retirement. He enjoyed jumping out of airplanes, race cars and riding motorcycles and bicycle.

Survivors include his sisters, Susan Bauer and Katherine Umhoefer; many nieces and nephews and all who loved him.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of plants and flowers, a James H. Breese, III Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster is assisting the family.
