 Ivan L. Morrow, age 78, of  Mount Hope, died  Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the University Hospitals in  Madison. He was born on February 24, 1931, in Little Grant Township, the son of Archie and Genevieve (Griswold) Morrow. Ivan graduated from  Lancaster High School. On October 8, 1954, Ivan was united in marriage to Marian Muldoon at the Lancaster Congregational Church in  Lancaster. After their marriage, the couple purchased a farm in Little Grant Township, which they farmed for over fifty years. Ivan enjoyed the farm life and dearly loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children: Jerry (Rosalee) Morrow; Jamie Morrow, all of Mt. Hope; six grandchildren: Joey (Jody) Morrow, Jennifer (Dan) Cooley, Matthew, Justin, Blake and Jessica Morrow, all of Mt.  Hope; seven great-grandsons: Austin, Aidan, Avery, Alec Morrow, Archibald, William and Samuel Cooley, all of  Mt. Hope; his brothers and sisters: Ardis Kasper, Bettendorf, IA; Lyle Morrow, Lancaster; Phyllis (Burdette) Pagenkopf, Lancaster; Katherine (Francis) Pluemer, Livingston; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by his wife, Marian, a grandson, Lucas and his brothers and sisters: Margie Ohlert, Myrna Starrett, Virgil Morrow, Leonard Morrow and Marilyn Rech.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lancaster Congregational Church in  Lancaster with Rev. Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial was in Little Grant Cemetery, Little Grant Township. Friends called on Monday, June 15, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until  8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in  Lancaster and from  10:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the church.
