Ivan D. Yoose, age 86, of Potosi, died Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the Lancaster Care Center. Ivan was born on March 21, 1928 in Waterloo Township, WI, a son of Andrew & Cora Ann (Loetscher) Yoose.
Ivan married June Marie Williams on November 14, 1945 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster. They farmed their entire lives in Grant County. Ivan was a member of the Lancaster First Presbyterian Church, and the F & A M Warren Lodge #4 in Potosi. He enjoyed polka music, making wine, and loved attending family gatherings.
Ivan is survived by three sons, Andrew "Chuck" (Janis) of Lancaster, Dennis, and Harold "Hoop", both of Potosi; his special friend, Eileen Walton of Potosi; eight grandchildren, David, Curt, Rick, Autumn, Cora, Matthew, Jennifer, & Shelley; fourteen great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Tom (Donna) Williams of West Bend; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June in 1996; a son, Arthur Curtis in 1969; his parents; two brothers, Harold and Calvin; and three sisters, Elizabeth, Linda, and Charlotte.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at the Lancaster First Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial was in Hurricane Cemetery, South Lancaster Township. Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster, where a 7:00 p.m. Masonic Service was held. Friends also called one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church. Schwartz Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lancaster is assisting the family.
