Idabell Studnicka, age 70, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born August 13, 1937 in Grant County, WI, the daughter of Leroy and Frances (Taylor) Barr. On October 24, 1959, she married Marvin R. Studnicka at the Beetown Gospel Hall. Idabells working career spanned 36 years at M&I Bank and Dicks Supermarket, both in Lancaster. She dearly enjoyed the precious time she spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Studnicka, Lancaster; one son, Brent (Gail) Studnicka, New Lenox, IL; two daughters: Robbin (Shane) Zenz, Blue Mounds; and Leah (Mark) Spindler, Mauston; six grandchildren: Alex, Nathan, and Jenna Studnicka, Taylor and Cletus Zenz, and Annabell Spindler; one brother, Bernard (Annabel) Barr, Soldiers Grove; and four sisters: Donna (Tom) Williams, Kewaskum; Ruth Hinch, Madison; Georgia (Doug) Klarman, Loves Park, IL; and Martha (Charles) Schaefer, Cross Plains.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bill Barr; her sister, Naomi Nickel; and her niece, Vicki Hinch.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lancaster Youth & Ag Building. Burial was in Dodge Cemetery, Beetown Township. Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27, 2008 from 1:00 5:00 p.m. at the Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster, and after 9:30 a.m. Monday morning at the Youth & Ag Building. In lieu of plants and flowers, an Idabell Studnicka memorial fund has been established.
