Hilda G. Breuer

Hilda G. Breuer, age 85, of Cassville, died on Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Lancaster. She was born on June 19, 1923, in Cassville, the daughter of Fred and Cecelia (Dresen) Mumm. Hilda attended country school. On August 25, 1942, she was united in marriage to LaVern Breuer at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Cassville area. Hilda enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and quilting. She also enjoyed gardening and doing word search puzzles. Hilda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Gary (Phyllis) Breuer, Waukesha; Mary Lou (Jon) Caylor, Schofield; James Breuer, Cassville; Bill (Kathy) Breuer, Beetown; Robert (Hope) Breuer, Neillsville; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marcella Vondrum, Lancaster; Delores (Pete) Kirschbaum, Bloomignton; one brother: Cyril Mumm, Cassville; other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Loren and Donald Mumm; a daughter-in-law, Lavina Breuer, and a great-grandson, Ryan Breuer.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville at 10:30 a.m. with Father John Norder officiating. Burial was in St. Marys Settlement Cemetery, Cassville. Friends called on Thursday, January 15, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Cassville assisted the family.
