Harold R. Clark, age 87 of Lancaster, formerly of Mt. Hope, WI, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Grant Regional Health Center. He was born August 3, 1928, the son of Verdie and Millie (Cathman) Clark. He attended Sandy Hollow Country School. On November 19, 1952 he was united into marriage to Myrna Junk at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. Together they farmed In Bagley, Mt. Ida, Burton, and Bloomington areas. Harold and Myrna also farmed for 30 years in Mt. Hope. During that time Harold was also employed at Advance Transformer, Ray-O-Vac, Land's End, Cabela's, and lastly, at Wal-Mart, retiring at the age of eighty-three and a half. He was a member of St. Lawrence O'Toole Catholic Church in Mt. Hope. Harold enjoyed going to the river gambling boat. Most importantly, he loved keeping up with his family and their activities.
Survivors include his loving wife, Myrna; his children: Mark (Marsha), Noreen, Brent, and Rodney Clark; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Birdie Meng; many nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Lee; a daughter-in-law, Charlene Clark; brothers: Ralph, Alva (Laura), Ora (Norma); sisters: Thelma Clark, Mabel (Frank) Ward, Violet (Ervin) Bischof, Nina (Frankie) Kasperek; brother-in-law, Ed Meng.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 14, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington. Family and friends called on Sunday, March 13, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bloomington is serving the family.
