Hannelore "Ann" Zander

LANCASTER – Hannelore "Ann" Zander, age 72, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home. She was born n May 8, 1948, in Salzgitter, Germany, the daughter of Siegfried and Johanna Zander. Ann moved to the United States with her family at a young age by boat. She moved to Illinois and settled in the Chicago area. Ann later moved to Prairie du Chien and waitressed for Grandma's Grill for many years. She loved to gamble and have coffee with her friends. Ann enjoyed her many cats, roses, and the color red.
Survivors include her daughters: Johanne (Tim) Hill and Rene (Ralph) Ronning; 5 grandchildren: Madelyn, Morgan, Matthew and Beretta Hill and Matthew Ronning; her siblings: Gerhardt (Barbara) Zander and their son Richard; Karl (Linda) Zander and their son, Jeffrey; other relatives and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
Due to COVID-19, a celebration of Ann's life will be held at a later date. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
