Gregory S. Fager, age 34, of Platteville, died suddenly, Sunday, August 25, 2013, at the Southwest Health Center in Platteville, of natural causes.
Greg was born on November 15, 1978, in Dubuque, IA, a son of Harold and Dolores (Uppena) Fager. He graduated from Onalaska Lutheran High School in 1997. Greg then attended UW-Madison, where he received a degree in Business Administration in 2001. He was currently employed at Hypro in Platteville. Greg loved all sports, the Green Bay Packers, Badger football, and the Chicago Cubs.
Greg is survived by his father, Harold Fager, Lancaster; his mother, Dolores (Mike) Everson, De Soto, WI; two brothers, Neal Fager, Tomah, and Douglas Fager, Hollywood, CA; a sister, Zheniya Fager, Platteville; step-grandfather, Virgil Bennett, Lancaster; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives & friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold Fager Sr. and Geneva Fager Bennett; his maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Uppena; and an aunt, Linda Fager.
Private Funeral Services were held on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lancaster. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. A gathering of family and friends took place after 2 pm on Thursday, August 29, at the Ellenboro Saloon. Friends and family called from 3 to 9 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Lancaster.
