Grace Lucinda (Osborn) Martin, age 89, of Epione Pavilion, Cuba City, went to Heaven on January 26, 2017. Grace was born on November 19, 1927 to Charles and Faith Osborn in Cataract, WI. She married Merwyn H. "Bud" Martin on July 17, 1946. She is survived by five children, Jeff (Dickeyville), Gail (Elk Mound), Tom (Rose) (Potosi), Joann Plear (Shullsburg), and Dick (Lancaster); ten grandchildren, Janet (Eric) Lambert , Dr. Barbara Knox (Bob) Schlotthauer, Emily Banker, Shawna Martin, Melissa (Jared) Foster, Allen Plear (Melia Evans), Sarah (Quenten) Van Raalte, Rachel Schmitt, Abraham Martin and John Martin; six great-grandchildren, Ryan Lambert, Josh Lambert, Rachel Banker, David Banker, Emma Schlotthauer, and Eve Schlotthauer; and her best friend Shirley Woolf Cowles. Grace was employed at Gray's Nursing Home for five years. She enjoyed family, traveling, playing cards, going to the casino and putting puzzles together.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Faith Osborn; her husband, Merwyn H. "Bud" Martin; her daughters, Anita Martin and Linda Knox; her sons-in-law, Clayton Knox and Tim Plear; and her siblings, Robert Osborn and Elizabeth Ann Corey.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00am at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ in Cornelia, WI. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Cornelia. Family and friends called on Saturday from 9:00am until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials can be made to Grant County Hospice or the United Church of Christ in Cornelia. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi is serving the family.
A huge thank you to Park Place Assisted Living, Memory Care and Epione Pavilion for taking such good care of our mother. A big thank you to Grant County Hospice. You all did a wonderful job.
