Gerald "Jerry" R. Dukett

Gerald R. “Jerry” Dukett, age 52, of Cassville, passed away as the result of a tragic car accident on Thursday, June 8, 2023.  He was born on March 10, 1971, in Plainville, Connecticut, the son of Sidney and Elaine (Monk) Dukett.  He graduated from Plainville High School in 1989.  Following graduation, Jerry went to work for Otis Elevator/ United Technology.  In 2000, he joined Karl Keicher and a passion for over the road truck driving began.  Jerry went to truck driving school and graduated top of his class.  He relocated to Cassville in 2003. Jerry enjoyed gardening, tractors, and helping people he thought were in need.  He was currently employed with Hurst Logistics. Jerry had an infectious smile and a wonderful sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his partner, friend and soul mate, Karl Keicher; his father, Sidney Dukett; his siblings: George Duncan, Betty Thibeault, Kathy Negron, Faith Varley, Michael Duncan, Steven Dukett, Wendy (Keith) Fioravanti, and Charlene Kerr; Karl’s family: Lacie Lynn Keicher; Hannah Ann Louise (Ryan) Kuster; his children, who Jerry loved as his own; Susan Keicher; Dan Carey; Ann Swedberg; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine in 2018 and a brother, Donald in 2010.
