Gerald C. Lau

BLOOMINGTON – Gerald C. "Jerry" Lau, age 68, of Bloomington, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at his home. He was born May 5, 1951, the son of Virgil and Roselia (Adrian) Lau. Jerry graduated from Cassville High School in 1970. He operated the Lau Family dairy farm in Cassville Township. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding horseback. He was a member of Wings Over Wisconsin and St. Charles Catholic Church.
Surviving is his twin sister, Genelda (Jim) Cooley-Zenz; a brother, Donald (Kathleen) Lau; nieces and nephews: Rick (Jo Ann) Cooley, Jennifer (Jarrod) Barker, Mathew (Courtney) Cooley, Herb (Tonia) Lau, Brandi (Eric) Johanningmeier, and Codi Lau; and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Virgil and Roselia, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis (Dixie) Lau and a brother-in-law, Richard "Dick" Cooley.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Private family graveside services will be on Friday, March 27, 2020 at St. Mary's Settlement Cemetery, rural Cassville, with Fr. William Vernon officiating. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
