Gary W. Pagel

Gary W. Pagel, age 72, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at his home with his loving wife Sharon by his side. He was born March 27, 1946 the son of Herbert and Lucille (Pierce) Pagel. Gary enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He married Sharon K. Sedbrook on July 24, 1971 at the E & R Church in Lancaster. Gary worked as a carpenter for Eastman Cartwright Lumber Company. He later began his career in farming and worked at the Grant County Farm for many years. Gary was a member of the E & R Church in Lancaster. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and a good game of euchre.

Surviving is his wife Sharon, and many members of the Pagel and Sedbrook family.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister Peggy Minch, and his father and mother in law; Edmund (Avanelle) Sedbrook.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory (1234 South Madison Street) in Lancaster with Rev. Mark Dieter officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at Little Grant Cemetery, Little Grant Township. Family and friends may call on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory in Lancaster is serving the family.
