Garth R. Snider

PLATTEVILLE – Garth R. Snider, age 86, of Platteville, Wisconsin, passed away on April 12, 2025, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster, Wisconsin. He was born on October 7, 1938, in Platteville, the son of Guerdon and Edna (Robson) Snider. He graduated from UW Platteville with an associates degree. Garth was married to his loving wife, Susan, on March 13, 1971, in Madison, Wisconsin. He worked at Phillips in Madison and most recently at Elks Lodge in Platteville as the manager.

He is survived by his son, Matt (Tara Beyer) Snider of Dubuque; brother, John Snider of Lancaster; and granddaughter, Ellie Flynn-Snider of Ames, Iowa.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Guerdon and Edna; and his wife, Susan.

According to Garth’s wishes, there will be no formal services held. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
