Francis Edward Morehouse, age 79, of Bonney Lake, Washington, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born on October 4, 1941 in Lancaster, Wisconsin, the son of John and Alice (Yoose) Morehouse. Francis graduated from Lancaster High School in 1959 and furthered his education to become an auto mechanic in which he worked for more than 40 years. He started his career at Turner Motors in Lancaster. In 1964, Francis was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Fort Lewis Army Base in Washington State where he met his first wife, Kathy Harbin, and together they had four children and lived in rural Lancaster. Francis and his family moved to Washington State in 1977. He later married his second wife Judy Grinbergs in 1986 and resided in Washington until they retired and moved to Arizona. You could tell Francis enjoyed telling stories and jokes by the twinkle in his eye. He also enjoyed bowling and golf with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan and liked watching football, basketball, baseball, and golf. Francis also watched country western movies and any war movies he could find and enjoyed listening to 50’s and 60’s music. He was a kind and loving Son, Husband, Father and Grandfather who dearly loved spending time with his family.
Surviving is his four children: Angie (Greg) Hovde, John Morehouse, Sheldon (Jacqui) Morehouse, and Michele (Wade) Bowen; grandchildren: Zach, Jacob, Amanda, Katey, Kiana, Chris and Emilee; his sister, Janet (Ron) Morse and his brother Richard (Jeannie) Morehouse; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his loving parents, Francis is also proceeded in death by his wives: Kathy and Judy Morehouse.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory in Lancaster will be assisting the family.
