Frances E. Brendemuehl of Platteville, formerly of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2015, at the age of 96.
Nanny B. is survived by her children, Mary Jo (Dick) Loeffelholz, Colleen (Mike) Myers, both of Platteville, and Jim (Carolyn) of Baltimore, MD; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Frances was preceded into heaven by her husband, John A. Brendemuehl on August 7, 1991; her parents, Pierce and Mary Magdalena (Zenz) Patterson; her siblings, Helen McKeown, Anna, Herbert, and Marcella Siewert; and extended family members.
Frances graduated from Platteville Teachers College and was a substitute teacher in the Bloomington schools for many years. She treasured her life on the farm with John and enjoyed a good game of euchre with her friends. She was a devout Catholic whose faith carried her throughout her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington, with Fr. John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Friends called from 9:30 am until the time of services Saturday at the church. There was a parish rosary service at 9:00 a.m. Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington is assisting the family.
