Eunice H. Dressler

Eunice H. Dressler, age 77, of Lancaster, died on Saturday, September 5, 2009, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville. She was born on June 2, 1932, in rural Fennimore, the daughter of Paul and Carol (Cohen) Hollenberger. She graduated from Fennimore High School in 1950. On September 18, 1952, Eunice was united in marriage to Richard Dressler at St. Lawrence OToole Catholic Church in Mt. Hope. She enjoyed babysitting and raising her children. Eunice liked to crochet and sew and often made her own clothing. She dearly loved being a grandmother.

Survivors include her children: Robert (Marilyn) Dressler, Lancaster; Thomas Dressler, Muscoda; four grandchildren: Rachel, Aaron, Brian and Mary Dressler; her brothers and sisters: Irma Atkinson, Lancaster; Adeline Atkinson, Bagley; Vivian (Joe) Moore, Lancaster; John (Jeanette) Hollenberger, Fennimore; Doug (Colleen) Hollenberger, Beloit; Elaine Hollenberger, Lancaster; Alan (Wendy) Hollenberger, Beloit; many cousins, nieces and nephews; a special niece, Heather Novinskie.

In addition to her parents, Eunice was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her brother and sisters: Willard, Charlotte Landon, Pauline, a nephew, Brent Hollenberger and brother-in-laws, Grant Atkinson and Leo Atkinson.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in Prairie Cemetery, Fennimore. Friends called on Monday, September 7, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church on Tuesday.
