Emmanuel Garcia Ortiz

LANCASTER- Emmanuel Garcia Ortiz, age 34, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 30th, 2022, due to an automobile accident.

He was born on May 6th, 1988, to Fernando Garcia Justo and Zenaida Ortiz Martinez in Oaxaca, Mexico. Emmanuel was never married but he spent the past four years with his girlfriend, Amanda King, whom he lovingly called Christine. He was employed at Design Homes in Prairie du Chien where he worked on the garage team. He also loved working with his brother, Eddie, at EG Roofing Services in Lancaster.

Emmanuel was a kind, hardworking man who put family first. He loved the days that he could get done with his normal workday and then go help his brother replace a roof. If there was no roofing to be done, Emmanuel enjoyed working on his car and shopping for new tools.

When there was no work to be done, Emmanuel enjoyed spending time with his family and girlfriend. Emmanuel especially enjoyed finding new fishing spots with Amanda and seeing who could catch the most fish. In the cooler months, Emmanuel enjoyed reading or watching soccer with a couple beers. He has touched many lives and will be dearly missed.

Emmanuel is survived by his parents: Fernando Garcia Justo and Zenaida Ortiz Martinez; his siblings: Maribel (Isaac) Garcia Ortiz, Eddie (Laura) Garcia Ortiz, Frankie (Mystic) Garcia Ortiz, and Liliana Garcia Ortiz; his nieces and nephews: Daniel, Miriam, Elizabeth, Frankie Jr., and a baby niece on the way; and his loving girlfriend, Amanda King.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster with Father William Vernon officiating. Burial will be in San Jose Chilepec, Oaxaca. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
