Eileen H. Brinkman, age 89, of Cassville, died on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on June 12, 1920, in Cassville, the daughter of Nick and Rose (Kelley) Adrian. On January 31, 1938, Eileen was united in marriage to Peter Joseph Brinkman in Dubuque, IA. After their marriage the couple farmed on Settlement Road, rural Cassville. She was employed at Klindt and Gieger Canning Company. Eileen was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidering, and needle work. She was a very devoted, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her children: Gary (Carol) Brinkman; Sandra (Gary) Adams; Richard Brinkman, all of Cassville; Gwen Johnson, Bagley; Pat (David) Udelhoven, Soldotna, Alaska; Renee (Mick) Leibfried, Potosi; Mike Brinkman, Cassville; Jeff (special friend, Sue Seyfried) Brinkman, Cassville; 46 grandchildren; 82 great- grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; her brother and sisters: Carol Vogt; Lois (Julius) Wiest, all of Cassville; Alan Adrian, Twixbury, MA; sister-in-law, Mary Adrian, Savannah, IL.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Peter on December 16, 1974; her daughters, Joyce (Walter) Fishnick and Charlene Brinkman; a son-in-law, Jon Johnson; a brother-in-law, Bob Vogt; three grandchildren: Jimmy, Michelle, Christy Brinkman; three great-grandchildren: Jon Paul Johnson, Nolan Fishnick, and Ryan Breuer; her brothers and sisters: Vera Adrian, Margurite (Dan) Bollinger, Leona (Carl) Sweeney, Geneva (August) Jack, Violet (Carl) Nickel, Harry (Lucille) Adrian, Virgil Adrian, and Francis (Pearl) Adrian; a sister-in-law, Pat Adrian.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 2, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father John Norder officiating. Burial was in St. Marys Settlement Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends called on Thursday, April 1, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Cassville where a 3:30 p.m. parish scripture service will be held. Friends also called on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
