Edward Wentz

Edward A. Wentz, age 77 of Cassville, passed away Friday October 9, 2015 at his home. He was born January 27, 1938 the son of Alvin and Leona (Pickel) Wentz. He graduated from Cassville High School, and later served in the U. S. Army as a rifleman. Edward worked with his father at Beetown Feed and Hardware. He was later a patrolman for Beetown and Waterloo townships. Edward was united into marriage to S. Lynda DuVal on July 5, 1985 in Beetown. Together they were over the road truck drivers, and later, Edward was employed at Cabella's. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 352 of Cassville, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Surviving is his loving wife Lynda; his children, Nancy (Rusty) Fuls, Rodney, Kenneth (Renee), Brenda, Alvin (Kari), and Albert (Stacy) Wentz; siblings, Donna (Mac) Axe, Ron (Sylvia) Wentz, Barbara (John) Bond; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; step children; Rose (John) Werner, Adella (Robert Powell) Coulthard, Delvin (Nancy) Coulthard, Alice (Bob) Bechtolt, John (Brenda) Coulthard, and David (Lisa) Coulthard, and several nieces and nephews.

Edward was preceded in death by his parent, Alvin and Leona, a son Steven, step children, Diane, Vivian, and Joe Coulthard, and a nephew David Hines.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Beetown Township Hall in Beetown, Wisconsin with Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Burial with military honors was in Beetown Cemetery. Family and friends called on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the Beetown Hall. Martin Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
