Edna V. Gralapp, age 88, of Lancaster, was called Home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at Orchard Manor Nursing Home. She was born on March 27, 1929, in Potosi, the daughter of Fredrick and Mabel (Moore) Jones. Edna graduated Lancaster High School in 1948. In 1957, she married Walter Cliff and he passed away in 1958. Edna later married Charles Gralapp in 1962 and he passed away in 2013. She cared for her mother for many years and was also employed at the former Rainbow Grill, Maple Inn, and Whittman's Café in Lancaster. Edna was employed for over 33 years as a CNA at Orchard Manor Nursing Home. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and time spent with her family. Edna was a member of Calvary Community Church. Throughout her life she maintained a devotion to God, prayer, and instilling Biblical values in her family.
Survivors include children: Giselle (Sam) Letcher; Gary (Gloria) Gralapp; Vivien (Bill) Welsh; Judy (Jim) Robison; John (Nikki) Gralapp; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her husbands Walter and Charles, Edna was preceded in death by a son, Walter Cliff and a brother, Lawrence Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 12:00 noon at Calvary Community Church in Lancaster with Pastor David Arevalo officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is serving the family.
