Edith C. Lange

Edith C. “Eydie” Lange, age 69, of Cassville, formerly of Fulton, Mississippi, passed away after an extended illness in Janesville. She was born on October 9, 1953, in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of Edward and Eloween “Winnie” (Pierce) Farrar. Eydie graduated from Grayslake High School in 1971. After graduation, she was employed with AT&T. She was married to Arthur William Heimos for approximately 20 years raising two beautiful children, Ed and Jay. After raising her family, Eydie began working as a Village Clerk for Round Lake Park, IL, managed a mini-mart and a florist shop. She was united in marriage to Larry Lange on August 3, 1996, where she gained two beautiful stepdaughters and a stepson. They retired to Cassville in 2008. In her healthier days, Eydie loved the outdoors, working in her yard, boating, camping, reading, and counted cross stitch. She displayed a very caring nature and loved spending time with her family, friends, and animals. Later in life, Eydie developed an artistic side and had a passion for adult coloring.

In the words of her adoring husband, Eydie was an: “Overachiever & workaholic with very distinctive propensity towards being wonderful. Meticulous about whatsoever she endeavors to achieve. Wonderful LOVING mother & absolutely outstanding wonderful WIFE. Can be a pistol at times; but what a glorious experience. Concerns carefully reviewed & responded to; smiles & ever-present loving personality. A joy to come home to; & defines the term "HOME.” HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR LONG TERM LOVING & SHARING OF ONES LIFE. ONE SMILE FROM HER SHINING FACE CAN BE A TRULY INDESCRIBABLE MOMENT!! I LOVE MY PRINCESS. I hope I can be where you need me; when you need me. I hope I can be what you need. I LOVE YOU MORE!!!!”

Survivors include her loving husband, Larry; her sons: Edward Heimos and Jason (Nicole) Heimos; stepchildren: Lisa (Richard Kirschbaum) Lange, Amy Beth Lange, and Eric Scott (Shelby) Lange; beloved dog, Mollie; numerous grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; her siblings: Patti-Jo (David) Weiske and Mark Edward Farrar.

In addition to her parents, Eydie was preceded in death by a sister, Deb Beichler.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville is assisting the family.
