Dorothy M. Williams, age 81, of Patch Grove, entered onto the pathway to the new life on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 19, 1930, in Beloit, the daughter of Walter and Dorothy (Butterfield) Williams. On January 13, 1959, Dorothy was united in marriage to Bill Williams in Rockford, IL. She was employed at Walmart in Platteville and Prairie du Chien. Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bloomington and its Ruth Circle. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing cards, and watching birds. Dorothy dearly enjoyed her family, which was the love of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; children: Cynthia (Richard) Taylor, Patch Grove; Clayton (Jackie) Williams, Beetown; Kevin (Donna) Williams, Dodgeville; Jill Danielson, Friendship; Lori Love, Sparta; Andrea (Dan) Mays, Cherokee Village, AK; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard, Norman (Cookie) and Charles (Carol) Dieter.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington with Pastor Mike Christensen officiating. Burial was in Patch Grove Cemetery, Patch Grove. Family and friends called on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
