Dorothy L. Noble

LANCASTER - Dorothy L. Noble, age 93, formerly of Lancaster, suddenly passed as a result of an automobile accident on Friday, August 25, 2017. She was born on born December 21, 1922, in South Lancaster Township, the daughter of Oscar and Elva (Bennett) Swab. Dorothy married L. Elton Noble on September 22, 1943, in South Lancaster Township. They farmed in Ellenboro Township until Elton retired from farming in 1975 and he and Dorothy moved to Lancaster. Dorothy was a member of the West Grant Saddle Club and active in 4-H Club in her earlier years. She worked at ManorCare Health Services in Platteville and was a secretary at Unified Counseling Services. She was also active in the Rebekah Lodge and the Lancaster United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Marcia (Edmund) Miller of Seymour, WI; Natalie (Richard) Schwab of Mauston, WI; two grandchildren: Matthew (Laura) Schwab and Laura (Frank) Vinopal; and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by husband, Elton, brothers, Don (Bess) and Roger (Marion) and sister, Arlene Swab.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at a later date. Private family funeral and burial services will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster.
